Understanding Driver’s Hours, Working Time & Tacho Recording 7 Hours

Courses are delivered regularly throughout the year. Call for details, Courses can be delivered over the weekend.

Bespoke training can be delivered with CPC approval. Training can be delivered on site, or at our premises in Peterborough.

All professional drivers of Lorries (C, C1, CE, C1E licence holders) must hold Driver Certificate of Professional Competence, Driver CPC.

Drivers need to complete a minimum of 35 hours of periodic training every five years. The training will require attendance at courses but will not require drivers to take or pass further examinations.

Lorry drivers who held a vocational licence prior to 10 September 2009 have acquired rights until 9 September 2014. To keep the Driver CPC and continue driving professionally beyond this date, drivers will need to complete 35 hours of periodic training. Failure of drivers or employers to ensure CPC is valid, could result in prosecution.

Training is offered in blocks of 7 hours.
