Site Safety Plus
The Site Safety Plus Scheme is a comprehensive health and safety training programme
designed to provide the building, civil engineering and allied industries with a
range of courses for individuals seeking to develop their skill set in this area.
They are designed to give everyone from apprentice to senior manager the skill set
they need to progress through the industry. From a one-day Health and Safety Awareness
course to the five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme, our courses will
ensure everyone benefits from the best possible training.
Achieving Behavioural Change (ABC) 1 Day
The ABC training course starts from basic understanding and is designed to provide
delegates with an understanding of how attitude, behaviour, communication and worker
engagement at all levels can help prevent the chances of accidents occurring.
Plant Managers Safety Training Scheme (PMSTS) 5 Days
This course is designed for plant managers, plant instructors, plant inspectors,
workshop managers, project managers, agents and persons who are or about to be responsible
for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering staff, groups
of staff and workforce.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) 5 Days
Appropriate for project managers, site managers and supervisors as well as proprietors
of smaller companies. Client-based personnel also benefit by attending the course.
Giving an understanding of delegates’ responsibilities and accountability for site
safety, health and welfare, current health and safety legislation including risk
assessment.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (Refresher) 2 Days
Designed for those who currently hold the Site Management Safety Training Scheme
certificate (evidence of this is required prior to course attendance). To assist
managers and potential managers to develop knowledge, awareness and an understanding
of legal (and possibly moral and social) responsibilities in respect of health,
safety and welfare on building and construction sites.
Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) 2 Days
This course is for first line managers. It provides an introduction to health and
safety, welfare and environmental issues for those requiring an understanding of
their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. It will provide
a sound knowledge base to enable them to give valuable assistance in safely managing
a construction site.
